About The Inn
Built in the summer of 1941, the Inn enjoys a spectacular setting on a slight rise, surrounded by the waters of the Pasquotank River and Waters Pond, named for Samuel Waters, an original owner of the land. The house is a finely crafted example of European Manor House architecture, with a winding staircase opening into wide halls and large, elegant rooms, so our guests can have the best experience possible.
Guests are welcome to stroll the acres, sit on the deck and enjoy the sunset, or walk through the camellia garden. Take a nap on the hammock, or read by the water while watching the ducks and ducklings. The more adventurous might enjoy a canoe ride on the river.
Serenity and comfort abound here. Our library offers reading and music. Our sun room is a gracious and comfortable place to enjoy a sunny ~or rainy!~ afternoon. Fireplaces in the library and living room take the chill off a cool evening.
Come have a glass of wine with us, or a glass of lemonade, and share yourselves. You’ll come as guests, and leave as friends.
